Free downloads Cockos REAPER 7.052/23/2024 Main will have a toggle group (all toggle scripts are mutually exclusive), and MIDI will have its own toggle group. In my development version, you can now create these actions for 'Main' or 'MIDI' action contexts. By default, the filter is off, so all contexts are included. 'everything' means everything included in the filter active at the time the script was generated. If you're switching back and forth between MIDI and arrangement, you don't want your toggle sets to be common, because whatever you're changing for MIDI won't apply to the arrangement and v.v., and because the toggle script wipes the slate before applying its data, you'll need to keep manually toggling back and forth and will die years too soon due to stress and aggravation. The problem I've been spinning on arises with the 'restore everything* to default' stuff, and the establishment of a new MIDI action context. OK, that's prelude, that's what's currently there. But does anyone need to do that? I don't. It occurs to me, writing this, that the 'restore everything* to default' should probably be optional, so that you can apply MMs on top of one another using one-shot actions designed to do that. Toggle actions are all part of a single group, so if you enable some other toggle action, it switches to the next action state, and only after all toggle actions have been disabled does it restore the original "current state".Ī one-shot action doesn't cache anything, it just restores the action state after resetting everything* to defaults. MouseMap preset files, just like the 'Load' operation from the prefs dialog, but that's neither here nor there.Ī toggle action stores "the current state" in a cache, then it restores the action state. Side note: the updated version adds a new type of action to restore MM. The way this script works, you can either have a toggle action or a one-shot action. I've been trying to wrap my head around the best way to handle this, and because I'm not 100% sure, I'm going to just write down what I'm thinking and you can let me know whether I'm a saint or a fool.
